Inspection Checklist

Structural / Frame Damage

Structural and frame damage is the most complex category to repair correctly. Improper repairs compromise crash safety and vehicle alignment. Inspect carefully:

Frame rails — look for kinks, bends, or weld seams indicating prior straightening
Unibody measurements — professional frame measurement is essential before purchase
Panel gaps — uneven gaps across doors, hood, and trunk indicate structural shift
Suspension geometry — bent subframe affects alignment and handling permanently
Crash sensors and airbag modules — structural impact often triggers multiple modules
Floor pan and rockers — check for rippling, patching, or welded repair plates
Verify all VIN plates are present and unaltered — missing VIN is a serious title risk
